way too cold for a photoshoot

Stacie and I headed out for a quick evening shoot on a back road by my house. Holy s%&t! We had no idea how cold it was or how dark it would get so fast. Stacie was such a trooper in her sleeveless dress!! These were the only two salvagable pics from our short little shoot. I tried a soft focus/blur action on one (not sure what I think) and acid washed the other one. I think it looks like an album cover. Have I mentioned I can't wait for it to warm up. I will be out taking pics every day once it warms up!! Until then- enjoy these!

Staying up way to late to play with photoshop

My eyes hurt from being on the computer so long!! I have been playing with some new photoshop actions I just downloaded. These are pics from Ab and Kel's wedding that I put some effects on.

I want to take pictures of people already!!! I can't wait for warmer weather to get going with my photo shoots. Today I pulled out my wedding shoes for some pics. I am playing with the bokeh (I just learned this word and I love it!). 

Bokeh (derived from Japanese, a noun boke 暈け, meaning "blurred or fuzzy") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field.^[1] Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject.

Sunday with Camster

It was snowing again today so I took pictures of my favorite subject inside the house! The one with her head to the side is when we ask her if she wants to go see her boyfriends Harold and Bailey.

Fake Bridal Session

Abby and I had so much fun today with our photoshoot in the river valley! Abby came over with her wedding dress, I did her hair and make-up and then we headed out in a blizzard to get some fake bridal pictures. Abby is a natural. Clearly, she listens to all of Tyra's advice on ANTM!!

I cannot take credit for the photography of my beautiful sister (Kelly from www.photographybykelly.ca) but I did retouch it and play with it in photoshop! Abby loves these B/W photos with the color.

Running through the forest...

This is my first time playing with Photoshop. All the editing stuff I have been doing has been on Aperture. I am starting to play with the fun stuff now! This is my first project... me running through the forest. Next, I am going to try to put me in a picture with Brad Pitt;-)

Suburban Sunset

Dinner was almost on the table when I noticed the pink light coming through the window so I ran outside to get some shots. A little post processing and voila!
