fabulous engagement

Last Monday I met up with these two Rockstars for a fabulous engagement shoot! We started off downtown behind my favourite salon (Celebrity), moved to a downtown park and then ended up taking advantage of our amazing River Valley (side note: I don't get down to the River Valley enough. Drew and I are going to start!). Jeff and Ayslinn were so easygoing and full of awesome ideas. Ayslinn knew exactly what she wanted and those long legs and long blonde hair didn't hurt the picture taking any! They were so much fun to spend my Monday evening with. bombshell shoot

On Thursday night I shot my first official "bombshell" shoot. I am so excited about the images. The photoshoot was about an hour before sundown in the juiciest Alberta Spring light. We snuck onto a farmers field just off the highway for these ones. Whenever a vehicle would drive by my model would hide in the grass!! We had so much fun and the images are beautiful. I promised my model she  would get to give approval on what I post so I cut her head off of this one to post without her permission (called her for approval but she wasn't answering her phone!!)! Hope she doesn't mind.

i am sore

I am sore- from being on the computer all day. I bought a membership to Show It sites to make slideshows for all my .future. clients! I am so happy with the way they turn out. I posted two of them below!! 

Also, I have been working on my bludomain website and have requested to "go live". It is not 100% complete but I want it up and running. 

I have been working on business cards and trying to finish editing Melissa and Ryan's pics. I have basically been in front of the computer most of the day. I am glad it was horrible weather outside and I am thrilled to have tomorrow off!  I love long weekends. And, because I can't post on my photography blog without a photo here a few of Drew out on flying his plane on Friday night! All images are sooc. Wooot, wooot, to natural lighting!!

shenanigans at the U of A

On Friday I met up with an old childhood friend for an engagement shoot. I seriously don't think I had seen Melissa in about 7 years!! 

Melissa and Ryan met at the U of A so we went back to the campus for our shoot. I had a blast with them. They were total  naturals in front of the camera and would do whatever I asked as well as came up with some pretty fab ideas of their own! 

I think Ryan was reenacting how they met (below)... Just kidding! He totally swept her off her feet (as shown above ;-)

We began our shoot on the roof of the education car park. There were some great colors and locations.

I had so much fun shooting these guys on Monday night! They were all such troopers and let me do whatever I wanted. Rob and Mark even indulged me and carried Jer and Rob's couch outside to the backyard. The sun was still too high for the pics to work out great but the boys sure did get a workout! We started in Jer and Rob's backyard and then headed to a park in St. Albert. Jack was so much fun- he was way more into playing than modelling... how can you blame him?!

Mulligan was so excited to be at the park. She wanted to go play with the other puppies so badly!

Here is the loveseat in the backyard!! Next time we are going to carry it out to the front street!
